This condition is urgent due to the high incidence rate, risk of serious complications such as stroke and heart failure and death. Low public knowledge in the management of hypertension, non-compliance with taking medication, unhealthy living behavior will risk hypertension. Lack of public knowledge about emergency management in patients with hypertensive crisis at home will be fatal to the sufferer. Health education will be conducted on July 2, 2025. Place in Dusun Bancang and Tegal Gaden Village, Trucuk, Klaten. Methods with lectures, discussions. Media with Leatflet and Power Point. Evaluation tools with pre and post test questionnaires. This health education is in collaboration with partners: Trucuk II health center, Gaden Village. Health education is needed to increase awareness of the Gaden Village community in preventing hypertensive crises, strengthening early detection and management of hypertensive crises, and management of emergencies.&nbsp; Education can prevent more severe complications. This community service activity aimed to improve public knowledge and awareness regarding blood pressure control among participants of Posbindu Pos 2 Melati, Borongan Village, Polanharjo District, Klaten Regency. The activity included blood pressure screening, pre-test, hypertension education using PowerPoint presentations and educational hand fans, interactive discussions, post-test, and distribution of educational media. A total of 24 participants attended the activity, while 18 participants completed the pre-test and post-test evaluation. The average knowledge score increased from 81.1 before the education session to 93.3 after the intervention, indicating an average improvement of 12.2 points. These findings indicate that hypertension education can improve participants’ understanding of hypertension prevention, healthy lifestyles, medication adherence, and routine blood pressure monitoring.</p> Avanilla Fany Septyasari, Devina Dewi Copyright (c) https://ejournal.umkla.ac.id/index.php/wasathon/article/view/2531 Tue, 04 Aug 2026 00:00:00 +0700 EDUKASI KONSUMSI TABLET TAMBAH DARAH UNTUK PENCEGAHAN ANEMIA REMAJA PUTRI DI SMA NEGERI 1 KARANGNONGKO https://ejournal.umkla.ac.id/index.php/wasathon/article/view/2550 <p><em>Anemia remains a common health problem among adolescent girls due to increased iron requirements during the growth period and blood loss during menstruation. Poor adherence to Iron Supplement Tablet (IST) consumption is one of the factors contributing to the increased risk of anemia. This community service program aimed to improve adolescent girl’s knowledge and awareness of the importance of IST consumption as an effort to prevent anemia. The program involved 30 female students from SMA Negeri 1 Karangnongko and was conducted throught health education using PowerPoint presentations, posters, leaflets, interactive discussions, question and answer sessions, and educational games. The effectiveness of the program was evaluated using pre-test and post-test asessements, followed by the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. The results showed that the mean knowledge score increased from 92.67 to 94.67, although the improvement was not statistically significant (p=0.574).
