This study aims to analyze the relationship between parental knowledge and attitudes toward stunting management in Tanjungmas, Semarang, given its severe long-term impacts on physical growth, cognitive development, and disease susceptibility. A cross-sectional design was employed, surveying 30 parents of stunted children. Results revealed that while 96.7% of respondents exhibited positive attitudes, 90% lacked understanding of stunting’s long-term consequences. Statistical analysis found no significant correlation between knowledge and positive stunting prevention behavior (p=0.315), indicating that knowledge alone is insufficient to drive behavioral change. Socioeconomic status, healthcare access, and family environment emerged as stronger determinants of parental behavior. The study concludes that holistic interventions addressing structural barriers—such as poverty and healthcare inequities—are essential alongside education. Community-based programs should integrate contextual solutions to improve nutritional practices. Further research is recommended to explore the gap between maternal knowledge and practical childcare behaviors
Wahyu Gito Putro, Aulia Ratna Sari Anissa, Fresthy Astrika Yunita, Maelia Unayah, R. This condition can delay recovery, increase the risk of wound infection, and prolong the length of hospital stay. One method used to maintain the patient's body temperature is the use of a blanket warmer. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of blanket warmer usage in preventing hypothermia in postoperative patients undergoing spinal anesthesia. Methods: This study employed a case study design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach without a control group. The sample consisted of 12 postoperative patients in the Recovery Room of RSUD dr. Tjitrowardojo Purworejo. The patients underwent surgical procedures with spinal anesthesia. The intervention group received blanket warmer therapy for 10 minutes during the postoperative recovery phase. Body temperature was measured before and after the intervention using an axillary thermometer for one minute. Results: The use of a blanket warmer demonstrated a significant increase in patients' body temperature before and after the intervention (p= 0.001, p<0.05). The majority of patients in the intervention group successfully maintained a mean body temperature of 36.32°C. Conclusion: Blanket warmers are effective in preventing hypothermia in postoperative patients undergoing spinal anesthesia. The use of this device is recommended as part of the standard postoperative care to enhance patient comfort and safety.
Annisa Ranti Nur Azizah, Fahni Haris, Rahmawanto Copyright (c) 2025 TRIAGE Jurnal Ilmu Keperawatan https://ejournal.umkla.ac.id/index.php/triage/article/view/1601 Sun, 22 Jun 2025 16:06:10 +0700 Identifikasi Determinan Kepatuhan Kunjungan Posyandu Balita https://ejournal.umkla.ac.id/index.php/triage/article/view/1602
The process of toddler growth and development is a crucial stage. Abdominal massage is known to affect brain function through the gut-brain axis, thereby enhancing intestinal motility, stimulating intestinal peristalsis, and improving bowel frequency while reducing difficulty during defecation. Although abdominal massage has been reported to be effective, further research is still needed specifically for the elderly population. This review aims to evaluate the implementation of abdominal massage in managing constipation among the elderly based on Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) studies. The search results yielded 145 related journals, and after selection, six articles met the inclusion criteria, which were: 1) studies with abdominal massage intervention, 2) respondents in the elderly category, 3) RCT studies, and 4) full-text articles in English published between 2020-2025. Abdominal massage is recommended as a non-pharmacological therapy alternative for managing constipation in the elderly. Training to enhance the abilities of nurses and caregivers in performing abdominal massage is crucial for non-pharmacological constipation management.
